Built-Up-Roof (BUR) Rehabilitation:

The problem:

Repair existing roof (no tear off) without compromising structural integrity.

Built-up roofing structures can suffer some unique problems.  Leaks can occur when the roofing system suffers from deterioration such as:  alligatoring, shrinkage, embrittlement, bad flashings, mechanical damage and ponding water.

The solution:

BUR rehabilitation using Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) and coatings.

SPF can stop and prevent such damage from reoccurring to your structure again.  SPF is a lightweight application that will save on heating and cooling costs by eliminating leaks and adding insulation value.  Roof-Tek® rehabilitation process is self flashing and backed by our quality-assured warranty.

The process:

  • Encapsulate and Insulate—Spray a seamless insulation layer with Roof-Tek® polyurethane foam.  This layer also encases materials such as asbestos or asphalt, eliminating the need for costly removal.  Polyurethane is a lightweight, energy efficient insulation with heating and cooling savings of up to 50%.
  • Create Drainage—Roof system is inspected and proper drainage is located where necessary.
  • Seal—Roof is spray sealed with durable, Roof-Tek® coatings such as:  silicone, acrylic, or urethane.
  • Top Coat—apply UV resistant Roof-Tek® coatings.
